Nice device, but in my case the operating distance was quite low.
The sensor should be mounted as shown in Fig. 1 with the two marks facing each other. In fact, as shown in Fig. 2, the sensor on the PCB is centrally positioned on the side with the mark. But I've seen that the sensor's sensitivity was low and I had to hold the magnet very close to the sensor.
I solved it this way: open the magnet's container and rotate the magnet by 90 degrees.
In the original position (Fig. 3) it fit loosely in the housing, while after rotating (fig. 4) it fits perfectly. In my case (tested with two sensors) the working distance doubled. (I'm almost starting to suspect that the magnets were mounted incorrectly at the factory...)
